With so many streaming services, blockbuster movie releases and new shows that I've been told I must watch, it’s often overwhelming trying to keep up. Sure, I keep my eye on lists like Netflix’s most-viewed titles, but the big hits aren’t necessarily always worth watching. So, how does one parse through it all? Well, I've hopefully made your job a little easier by finding all the shows and movies that are worth your time this week. Say goodbye to the scroll fatigue of the past with these selections on Netflix (Bridgerton), Max (Design Down Under) and more.

From Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal to The Strangers: Chapter 1, here’s what to watch this weekend.

1. Bridgerton

Dearest reader, Bridgerton season three has finally arrived! This highly anticipated installment will explore the steamy relationship between Colin and Penelope, who have been longtime friends. 3. Dark Matter

Based on the best-selling novel by Blake Crouch, the story follows a physicist who’s abducted and thrown into a parallel version of his life. He embarks on a thrilling journey to discover himself and what might have happened had he made other life choices. Cast members include Joel Edgerton,  Jennifer Connelly and Oakes Fegley. 

4. Mother of the Bride

  • Runtime: 90 minutes

Brooke Shields, Miranda Cosgrove and Chad Michael Murray star in this brand-new rom-com. The story follows a woman who’s preparing for her daughter’s wedding. Her world is turned upside-down when she realizes the groom’s father broke her heart years ago. And now, she must put her heartbreak aside as they prepare to merge families. 

5. Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal

  • Number of seasons: 1

Currently occupying the number two spot on the Netflix top 10 shows list, Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal centers around a dating website called Ashley Madison, which is used by people who want to have adulterous affairs. When Ashley Madison is hacked, millions of users’ intimate data is leaked, leaving their marriages and personal lives on the brink of collapse.

  • Runtime: 104 minutes

In this lighthearted family comedy, a young girl discovers that she can see everyone’s imaginary friends. With the help of her next-door neighbor, she embarks on a mission to reunite the cast-away “IFS” with their now grown-up children.

7. Doctor Who

  • Number of seasons: 14

Who’s ready for Doctor Who season 14? This time, Doc and Ruby are thrown into the Regency Era in England, where they encounter everything from royals to the Beatles. (FYI, Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa is making history as the first Black actor to play the Doctor.)

8. Design Down Under

Get ready to see more of the interior design dynamic duo Georgia Ezra and Richie Morris because the second season of Design Down Under is coming straight to Max this Saturday (May 18). In this show, Ezra and her husband take homes in Melbourne, Australia, and give them a total makeover. 

9. Bodkin

  • Rating: TV-MA
  • Number of seasons: 1

This brand-new show is being called the Irish version of Only Murders in the Building. It follows a podcast host as he teams up with a researcher and a journalist to investigate mysterious disappearances that have been haunting a small Irish town for decades. 

10. Megalopolis

  • Rating: NR
  • Runtime: 138 minutes

Written, directed and produced by Francis Ford Coppola (known from The Godfather), Megalopolis tells the story of an architect who wants to rebuild the Big Apple as a utopia after a devastating disaster. It stars Adam Driver, Giancarlo Esposito, Nathalie Emmanuel, Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf and Jon Voight.

11. The Strangers: Chapter 1

  • Runtime: 91 minutes

In this latest addition to The Strangers horror franchise, The Strangers: Chapter 1 follows a young couple who’s forced to spend a night in a secluded cabin after their car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. But their night soon turns into a living hell when three masked strangers show up on their doorstep.
